Are the sectors easy to access?
Most of the climbing sectors are easy to access, however, with the topo or with the help of our guides, they will help you circulate around the technical terrain in safety.
Are there any animals or bugs we should be wary of?
There are no dangerous animals or bugs in Madeira. Ocasionally you may find a tick or two, however the chances are pretty low. You may be lucky to see a few wild goats, we ask for you not to feed them or approach them.
What's the type of rock i'll be climbing?
The only type of boulders you'll find while climbing in Madeira Island are Basalt. Bearing in mind that Basalt isn't commonly climbed on, our guides can point out the "tricks" of climbing on these unique boulders.
Would you recommend climbing outdoors if i'm a beginner?
Yes, absolutely! We can set you in the right direction, and make sure you'll have a lot of fun whilst learning the basics.
What type of weather can we expect in Madeira?
Madeira has lots of microclimates, even if it's rainning where you are, you'll always find a piece of sun somewhere else on the Island. The south is known for it's dry weather, but the north tends to be wetter. Madeira isn't too hot neither too cold, it's known for being the Island of eternal spring.
Can i climb right after a rainny day?
Please do not climb right after a rainny day. We recommend a minimum of two days of drying time. Some holds may break if wet.
